MV8508 is a specialized integrated circuit that encompasses efficient CAMERA functions, MPEG4 simple profile level 3 compliant codec functions and various AUDIO Codec with software application process for Low Cost mobile platforms.It minimizes the main processor’s workload and provides 30fps@QVGA of preview. It executes hardware based real-time JPEG compression as well as MPEG4 data processing, 3D acceleration and software application processing.
MV8508 works as a multimedia processor by lessening the responsibilities of the host, supporting the application software, and allowing feasibility of additional functions.
