MV8602 is a Mobile Multimedia Platform encompassing efficient camera functions, MPEG4 simple profile level 3 compliant codec functions and software application processing for mobile platforms. It supports sensors up to 5 mega pixels, utilizes a 16 bit data bus and has indirect addressing capability. MV8602 delivers unique features such as capturing 90°, 180°, 270° still images and EZ-OSD technology providing diverse and dynamic menu and PIP functions. EZ-OSD technology frees the host from confinement of MV8602’s timing limitations, allowing random access of the OSD memory.Its 2D graphic functions enable easy 2D game execution and MPEG4 codec operates independently within MV8602 through the implementation of an ARM9 core. MV8602 is a multimedia processor lessening the responsibilities of the host, supporting the application software and allowing feasibility of additional functions.
